Medical Treatments

Botulinum toxin, is a natural, purified protein that is used to temporarily relax facial muscles that cause lines and wrinkles. It can also be used to treat medical conditions such as hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Botox is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) for a short period of time. It can also be injected into the area around the side of the eyes to improve the look of moderate to severe crow’s feet lines. The treatment is used to soften the lines caused by facial expression and can be adjusted to ensure natural results.

Smart/Vaser Lipo laser body contouring is a minimally invasive, laser-assisted lipolysis procedure that targets trouble spots like the abdomen, arms, buttocks, thighs, and neck, and permanently eliminates fat. If your problem areas won’t respond to exercise and diet, Smart/Vaser/lipo provides dramatic improvements with greater results, minimal downtime, and less pain than traditional liposuction. Procedures can produce impressive results by treating areas of fat with ultrasound energy, then gently removing the fat through a small tube inserted under the skin. This minimally invasive process is designed to be gentle on the body and highly effective, giving patients the smooth contours they want with less tissue injury than traditional liposuction procedures.

The fractional CO2 laser takes the CO2 laser beam and fractionates or pixelates that beam into thousands of tiny little shafts of light. These tiny shafts of light penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin. The skin then repairs those tiny shafts by pushing out the old sun damaged skin and replacing it with new skin. Ablative Fractional resurfacing is a treatment for fine and deep wrinkles, scar revision and superficial skin lesions. Primarily used for correction of moderate to deep wrinkles, this laser delivers micro fractional columns of laser light to the top layers of the skin. Treatments can be deeper, with more healing and downtime, or shallower, with less healing time. The deeper the treatment, the better the results generally. But some patients prefer to have two treatments that are not as deep, so they can avoid a lot of downtime. You will see some immediate results, but you won’t see the full results for 3-6 months. After your skin heals, which may take up to 3-14 days, there will be a period of 4 to 6 weeks after that when your skin might be slightly pink. During this period, your skin will feel smoother and looks less blotchy. As the color returns to normal, you will see fewer lines, less blotchiness, and more glow.

As we age, the natural collagen and elastin in the skin lessens, as cells lose their ability to produce more of their youthful component. The skin becomes dryer, thinner and less able to fix itself. When we are born, we have plentiful amounts of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) in our body, but as we get older this store of HA diminishes, leaving the skin less well supported, and so lines and wrinkles develop. By lifting and smoothing targeted folds and wrinkles by adding subtle volume, dermal fillers can make a difference to a person’s appearance, giving them a fresher look. You can also treat your lips with lip fillers to add extra volume. Today’s sophisticated fillers are made of Hyaluronic Acid (or HA), which is a substance that’s found naturally in the body, making it much safer than previous procedures.

Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure to improve the appearance of the eyelids. Surgery can be performed on the upper lids, lower lids or both. Other surgeries include lasik, cataract, and glaucoma. Complete eye care is also available.
